Before Your Session
How do I choose a location?
If it's not an in home session, I like to shoot in locations that are signification to families and couples I work with. Typically these are parks and beaches. If you don't have a location in mind or if your location isn't an option, we can work together to find somewhere that represents you, your interests and personalities.
What time should my session take place?
The best times to hold outdoor sessions is the hour before the sun sets, also known as golden hour. For indoor sessions, my questionnaire will help us to decide together the best time for your session, as this depends on the light inside your home.
What do I wear to my photo session?
Ultimately you want to be comfortable and dressed for the weather, so that is a good place to start. I would aim for neutral tones (beige, white, tans) that compliment each other. You don't have to match, but co-ordinating colours is a good idea. Avoid bright colours or busy patterns. I will email you prior to your shoot to offer wardrobe support.
How do I prepare for my session?
Once a session is booked, I send my clients a session specific questionnaire. This allows me to get to know them and understand what they are looking for out of their session. I will send an email prior to your session with any relevant information and to answer any last minute questions you may have.
During Your Session
Do I have to look at the camera?
Yes and no. I opt for prompts as opposed to traditional poses. For sessions involving little ones for example, I opt for play based, child led sessions as they tend to produce the most natural interactions.
How long is the session?
All of my sessions are up to an hour, unless it is a newborn session which are 1.5 hours.
After Your Session
How long until I receive my photos?
You will receive your photos in the form of a password protected online gallery, two/ three weeks after the date of your photoshoot.
The session price includes five photos, how do I choose them?
You will be sent a link to an online gallery. You will also be sent a coupon code to use to download your five favourite images. Once the code has been entered they will be made available for you to download in high resolution and web size.
What if I want to download more than five images?
If you love more than five images, amazing! I have an online store, when you can download the whole gallery for a set price or download individual images for a cost per individual download.
Can I order prints through your online store?
Yes, once I have sent you your online gallery, you will also be able to buy prints in various sizes through my online store. These are ordered online with the order being filled by a professional printing services. They are then shipped by me, to your door.
